Dr Akshata Prabhu is a leading model and actor. With over a decade of experience in modelling, she represents India on the global level.
Akshata’s journey
It was her dream to be a model since her childhood and she began modelling at the age of 18 bagging the most prestigious brand endorsements early in her career like Loreal, Smirn Off, Canara Bank, AZA fashions & many more. She developed her craft and skill by taking on multiple projects like Print Shoots, Television Ads, Music Videos, Runway Shows and Movies. She featured on Billboards, magazines and newspapers of national repute like Times of India, Bombay Times, Indian Express, New Woman & many more.
As far as academics was concerned, she was always a merit student and cleared her medical entrance exam as a Rank Holder. But her urge to pursue professional modelling parallelly along with a medical career led her to forgo her MBBS Seat and choose Dentistry due to the hectic schedules the profession demanded but she pulled it off with ease. It is only when she decided to go for higher studies she decided to take a break from modeling. She chose to specialize in Pediatrics due to her love for children. Further on, she continued to perform her duties as a Daughter, Pediatric Dental Surgeon, Wife & a Mother. To be a role model for her daughter, she decided to make a comeback and this time take her career to the international level. She won the title of Mrs India 2019 Runner Up & was chosen to represent India on the International platform. On 9th August, 2021 she won the crown and title of Ms International World in Florida, USA and became the first ever Indian woman to have received this honour. She signed various brand endorsements like Colgate, Margaritaville at Sea and was also invited to walk New York Fashion Week for 3 USA-based Designers & Brands. She also featured on Times Square Billboards & in Hollywood. She has signed her first International Film – ‘The Italians’ to be shot in New York wherein she plays the role of a United Nations Diplomat as a primary character. She brings all of this experience she has devoured over decades to her platform The International Glamour Project(add R) and today she is a successful model, actor and a global icon.

Ms International World 2021
Akshata’s dream of representing India on the International Platform was met with hurdles and challenges. During the covid-hit scenario, India was banned for travel to the USA; she had to travel from India to Germany, Germany to Mexico, be quarantined in Mexico for 14 days and was only then allowed to enter the USA. It is her grit and perseverance to bring glory to the nation that pushed her passion and commitment and she won the crown & title of Ms International World 2021. Since then she has inspired millions of people across the globe and urges everyone to follow their dreams.
Professional model in India
She has been featured in 14 National Magazines & Newspapers in India. She has been a host of 3 TV Shows including ‘Kyun Kaisi Rahi’ – Indian Adaptation of Candid Camera (Hindi & Urdu). She has featured in music videos such as the Remix Version of ‘Do Ghoont Mujhe Bhi Pila De’ 2004. She also played the lead role in the Marathi film Paathavni (2008).
Professional model in USA
She won the Ms International World 2021 title in Florida, USA. Akshata Prabhu has walked for three designers in the grand New York Fashion Week. She has walked the runway for Charjean Couture (Hi-Tech Moda NYFW Show), Supermodels Unlimited and Rojen Couture (VIP NYFW). She has also been featured on a New York Billboard on 34th Street, 7th Avenue by and has earned the badge of being a ‘SuperModel’ by being recognized by SuperModels Unlimited USA during NYFW. Recently, Akshata Prabhu has also signed a contract for a blockbuster international web-series based on the book “The Italians” where she will be playing the United Nations ambassador Indira Gupta.
Movies and web series
She has recently featured in the short film ‘The Rising Queens’ officially submitted to the New York Film Festival in 2022. She also features in the 4-episodic Web Series titled ‘Journey of a Queen’ produced by TIGP(add R of Registered) Productions Pvt.Ltd.
